The Hachiya Persimmon, also known as kaki fruit, is a cone-shaped variety with smooth, soft flesh, celebrated for its deep orange color and rich sweetness when fully ripe. Grown by Kingsburg Maiden® in California, each fruit is carefully hand-harvested to preserve its creamy texture and naturally high sugar content.
When ripe, its jelly-like pulp makes it perfect for fresh eating, artisanal desserts, and gourmet sauces.
Hachiya is one of California’s main persimmon varieties. Unlike the Fuyu, which can be eaten firm, Hachiya must fully ripen before eating to reveal its signature sweetness and velvety texture.
